Makeup of the week: how to wake up a washed-out face

and suddenly, it looks like I've had a fantastic night sleep

Do you know the days when you wake up feeling worn out, stressed out, tired and pallid? This is my quick routine to overcome those days and the tyranny of a washed-out face.

I’ll start with BFF SPF 30 Cream, for a little bit of overall glow and sun protection. Then we have the main event, the most important element of my tired-face routine: BFF De-Stress. I want something that will improve my skin as the day goes on and BFF De-Stress is formulated with stress-neutralising active ingredients that will manage the visible effects of excess cortisol production, lack of sleep, HEV blue light and all of those external factors that can wreak havoc on your skin. On top of all that, it provides great radiant coverage, so I’m going to be fairly liberal with it today and you can see that instantly my skin looks so much better.

To inject a little more life into my face, I’ll gently blot the rich and workable Rossy onto my lips and cheeks for a touch of just-bitten, barely-there warmth. Lip2Cheek in Rossy is a wonderful colour that gives my tired skin a lovely sheen and just makes my complexion come alive. An iridescent wash of rose-champagne Sheer Shimmer in Bunny on my lips, a touch of golden-nude lightness on my eyes and cheekbones deliver a gorgeous, face-awakening glow.

The pièce de résistance is a heavy side parting and generous hair zhuzh to elevate my entire look – watch as I go from “blah” to bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in just a few minutes...
