How To Rock a Bright Lip

I like to fully prep the skin on my lips before, in order to create a great blank canvas for a bold lip. To do this, I use a myriad of products to boost hydration and help make the lips look and feel as plump and smooth as possible. I like to keep the rest of my makeup clean and simple when wearing a bold lip as I don’t like to overdo it. I always do my base and eyes first, and then go straight into the lipstick, before the blush and brows. This allows me to stand back and assess how much of each I need.

The products I use are below:

Goldfaden MD doctor’s scrub(£65)
A physical exfoliator packed with crystals to help eliminate dead skin cells. This formula also contains a waxy seed oil and nourishing seaweed extract to promote hydration levels and reduce free radical damage from the environment.

Sensai cellular performance total lip treatment(£69)
A treatment which deeply nourishes and promotes circulation to visibly smooth lip lines. The main ingredient is Ricinus Communis (hydrogenated Castor oil) and is obtained from the seeds of the castor oil plant. It helps to enhance the moisture content of the skin, smoothing and nourishing the lip texture.

Laneige lip sleeping mask(£15)
Another lip treatment in the form of a mask, launched in Korea 2015. They use a patented technology called ‘Moisture Wrap’ which is used to create a moisturising blanket over the lips to seal the moisture. This technology contains active ingredients like hydro ion mineral water, primrose extract and vitamin C that helps exfoliate the dead skin layers.

Dr.Lancer advanced c radiance cream(£70)
A waterless Retinol formula with 10% Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). it’s used to brighten skin tone and reduce the appearance of UV damage/pigmentation and dark spots. This product is suitable for dry, normal, combination but not sensitive skin.

La Mer The lip balm(£45)
A healing balm treatment for lips packed with marine extracts and botanicals to regenerate the lip skin. First Ingredient is Vaseline, a waxy thickening agent used in lip balms and also eucalyptus oil- a soothing and calming oil to smooth and tone the skin.

Talika- lipocils expert(£39)
An eyelash growth treatment that encourages longer, healthy lashes. I use this daily. Coleus forskohlii, a chemical found in the plant ‘Plectranthus barbatus’, stimulates the synthesis of melanin in the lashes to intensify their natural pigmentation. Boabab leaf extract also helps to reduce the damage caused by UV radiation

Lavera- styling gel(£10.90)
A clear brow gel that also can be used on eyelashes too. It contains active ingredients including Shea butter and coconut oil used to hydrate and strengthen eyelashes.

Hourglass lip treatment(£34)
Another lip treatment in the form of the serum, it’s enriched with 14 essentials oils with vitamins E, B5 C and A, Lavender and geranium oils, which all provide nourishment and hydration to lips.

Romilly Wilde- Active boost face oil(£75)
More of a serum than an oil, this all-natural product feeds the skin with a boost of hydration. All natural oils including wild Abyssinian oil, which is great for hydration without leaving a greasy film over the face and sea buckthorn fruit oil, which is full of antioxidants.

Roger & Gallet- Perfume(£39.50)

All the products featured on my social media channels are products I have personally gone out and discovered. As I only try make-up and skincare on myself I cannot guarantee that all of the products I recommend will suit you because everyone’s skin is different, and some people might be allergic to certain ingredients.
Wherever possible please test products out on yourself before purchasing.

Nothing on my social channels shall be interpreted as providing dermatological, medical or other such advice, and it is always best to seek the advice of a suitable professional should you have any such concerns.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me, or occasionally sent over by PRs when I have specifically asked for that product. (This saves me spending a fortune every month!)

I do not accept payments to make any of the videos on this channel, so to make it easy for you ladies, where appropriate, I will embed links so that you can have seamless ways to purchase. (As I know that some of you require instant gratification).
