Join Luc and I in Selfridges where I show you how to shop on a luxury floor to find both affordable pieces for your wardrobe and investment pieces. We roam through many many shops: Topshop, Maje, The Kooples, Sandro, Reiss, Ted Baker, Karen Millen, Cos, Me+Em, Self Portrait, Gani, Zimmermann, Theory and Joseph.
The coats this season, I love. In Topshop there was a marvellous array of colourful faux fur coats in green, mint, leopard print and more. Maje also had lovely structured coats. My favourite is always a dove grey coat, an absolute essential in anyones wardrobe... They also had a good selection of flowy and structured dresses.
The Kooples veer more towards a rock and roll festival feel with their bright colours and brash patterns. Their patterned light weight shirts and bomber jackets definitely caught my eye. I also love a silk shirt, beautiful investment pieces, which you can keep for ever.
Sandro had a good offering of coats, albeit similar to Massimo Dutti, which is by far cheaper than Sandro... That said they also had gorgeous structured checked coats.
Brands such as Reiss and Theory have a variety of tailored suits and shirts this season which you all know I love. Cos, as smart as ever, also had beautiful flowy shirts and bretton stripe jumpers and t-shirts.
Ted Baker's offerings were more on the sports luxe side of things with lace and jearsey trousers. Self Portrait, Gani, Zimmerman and Joseph are all rather pricey but have great dresses and occasion wear which would be a great addition to your wardrobe if you have the budget for it...
