Morning Cleanse & Make Up Routine
Skincare

It’s a beautiful snowy afternoon in London so I thought I'd have a quick skincare catchup with you all, trying some new products! I had my threading done this morning on my chin, and I usually wear no makeup after to let the skin heal as it can be a tiny bit red after, so I wanted to take all of my makeup off and properly cleanse my skin. Here are the products I used:

Medik8 PoreCleanse Gel
WHO:
Medik8 combine over 40 years’ worth of experience in skincare research and product formulation to advise the brand and the products that it produces. They sell through dermatologists and skincare clinics and class themselves as a ‘professional brand’.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Contains AHA and BHA acids to help clear the skin. Also contains Mandelic acid which is an exfoliant, and lactic and salicylic acid to balance the pores.
WHY I LOVE IT:
This products is great for really cleansing the skin. It’s not not tingly and leaves me feeling thoroughly cleansed and soft after using it.

SkinCeuticals Metacell Renewal B3
WHO:
Founded in 1994 by Dr Sheldon Pinnell, SkinCeuticals as a brand is dedicated to improving skin health with advanced skincare backed by science.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Contains 5% Niacinamide which helps to reduce pore size and congestion and 15% glycerin for it’s hydrating properties.
WHY I LOVE IT:
This is a lightweight serum that would be great on someone with an oily skin.

Elixseri Smooth Player Serum - £95
WHO:
Elixseri is a natural brand who create micro-biotic skin care serums, which are targeted and tested for efficacy.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
The Smooth Play serum contains chilli pepper which is rich in vitamins C, B and A. Also has papaya ferment in it which is antinflammatory.
WHY I LOVE IT:
This serum penetrates well and smells really fresh.

Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield SPF 30 - £60
WHO:
Dermatologist Dr Howard Murad (who is also an accomplished artist) launched his skincare line in 1989 as a way to share his ground-breaking skincare formulas.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
It consists of mushroom peptides and a soft focus complex that helps to diminish the appearance of fine lines and imperfections.
WHY I LOVE IT:
A multitasking product that works to prime the skin and protect from the sun (it contains SPF 30). It comes out like a gel and feels like a serum – I love using this above my lip to help to diffuse the lines.

La Roche Posay Substiane Eye Cream - £30
WHO:
A French pharmaceutical brand, La Roche Posay is available on the UK high street at Boots. They work with top dermatologists to create high quality products that are accessible to those who need it.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Contains Pro-xylane and Linactyl to help replenish volume.
WHY I LOVE IT:
I like this as it just lifts the skin around the eye area and helps to diminish puffiness. Works really well to wake up tired eyes.

Subtle Energies Mogra Rejuvenating Gold Cream - $185 (Australian Dollars)
WHO:
Australian aromatherapy spa brand, focus on ‘wellness’ and natural products.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Contains Mogra which stimulates cell renewal and promotes collagen production. Also contains Indian rose to deeply hydrate the skin. It’s also infused with 24K gold for anti-ageing.
WHY I LOVE IT:
As I apply this, I can feel that it immediately gives hydration. This is great for really massaging and working into the face, it feels very nurturing.

Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture - £57
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Contains hyaluronic acid which enhances the skin’s ability to attract and retain water. Coconut extract provides moisture which helps to diminish dehydration and gives the skin a smooth texture.
WHY I LOVE IT:
This leaves my skin feeling really soft and hydrated. This would also work well as a mask if left to set on the skin for 20 minutes.
