Are your lips thinning with age? Or were they just never there in the first place? From our early twenties, the amount of collagen and elastin in our skin starts to decline. With less of these important structural proteins to hold it up, our skin loses its bounce and our pouts suddenly don’t have as much oomph as they once did, resulting in thinner lips.
It’s around this time that the idea of lip filler can start to become a very appealing prospect, but there are easier, faster, more affordable and crucially, needle-free options. The key is to not just rely on one lip product to do it all – you need a dynamic duo of lip liner and lip oil. The liner will help you to increase the surface area of your lips by ever-so-slightly overlining, while a lip oil will reflect the light for a convincingly fuller finish.
To create the illusion of reinflated lips in five minutes flat, we asked our pro artists to create a fool-proof hack that’s completely smudge too…
How to make your lips look fuller without needles
Step one: To create extra oomph, first choose a Line2Define Lip Liner shade that matches your natural lip colour.
Step two: Instead of tracing your lip line, trace just slightly outside of it – this is your cheat to making your lips look fuller. Draw straight across your Cupid’s bow and the middle of your bottom lip before lining outwards stopping short just before the corners so you don’t get pulled down.
Step three: Top with a slick of Sheer Joy Pro-Collagen Lip Oil just in the middle, the juiciest part of your lips.
