I'm joined by ES Beauty Editor Annabel Rivkin and her Midult partner Emilie McMeekin in the back of the TRINNY TAXI... We discuss the directory they put together for their website, from sexy plumbers to experienced cobblers as well as their top beauty buys!
When Annabel pulled out Johnson's Baby Lotion I could not believe it. I love it when people surprise me with their top beauty products. I used to use this when I was young and it has the same smell to this day. Annabel recommends that you use it as a makeup remover...
A cult classic. I don't know a single person who loves skincare who doesn't know about this product. One of the bets affordable glycolic acids out there; It exfoliates the skin, improves circulation and helps to refine the appearance of pores... A must have in your beauty arsenal.
This is a great cleansing gel that doesn't leave the skin feeling dry and irritated. It exfoliates with the acids it contains; including both Mandelic and Glycolic acids. It really cleans out the pores and leaves the skin refreshed.
A great budget brightening mask packed full of natural ingredients including orange, blackcurrant, blueberry, grapefruit and lime. It resurfaces the skin with its active fruit extracts and leaves the skin glowing and radiant.
Votary was founded by makeup artist Arabella Preston. This is an oil based retinol. The retinol used in this product is called hydroxypinacolone retinoate, one of the strongest forms of retinol on the market. A beuatiful night time oil.
The sister to the Votary Intense Night Oil, it also contains hydroxypinacolone retinoate (a stronger form of retinol on the market) as well as some lovely plant and fruit oils. As you ladies know I don't believe in eye creams but I am willing to try this one...
Personally I don't rate the Glossier cleanser as I don't find it at all hydrating enough especially as it clains to be a blend of five skin conditioners. Potentially can be used for removing makeup for a younger skin as it does have a good price point.
I really think Lacura products are good, especially their Caviar cream. It's sold at Aldi and is super cheap. The cream contains a peptide complex, hyaluronic acid and coenzyme Q10... This product is really good value for money. I absolutely love that Emilie pulled this out.
