Ladies, this week in my bathroom I had the skincare guru Marcia Kilgore. Marcia is a super-entrepreneur who founded Bliss, Beauty Pie, Soap & Glory and Fit Flop - just to name a few of her businesses.
We chatted mainly about 'anti-ageing' skincare and our thoughts on the term 'anti-ageing', the use of retinols in our routines and pigmentation and how to reduce it.
There are two different types of pigmentation: sun damage and hormonal, which is common during and after pregnancy. In order to reduce patches of pigmentation, you need to resurface the skin so that it renews itself faster, alongside the use of sunscreen. Look for products containing lactic acid, vitamin C, AHAs and BHAs. Arctic berry is also a great ingredient for it's brightening properties.
Beauty Pie Jeju Overnight Moisture Superinfusion - £70 (or £7.60 for members)
Sunday Riley Good Genes - £85
Beauty Pie Super Retinol Ceramide-Boost Anti-Ageing Face Serum - £80 (or £9.84 for members)
Retinols are a vitamin A derivative that gets deep into the skin and helps to restructure the dermis which in turn, plumps up wrinkles.
Retinold do make you senstitive to light so you must use a high SPF the next morning.
All the products featured on my social media channels are products I have personally gone out and discovered. As I only try make-up and skincare on myself I cannot guarantee that all of the products I recommend will suit you because everyone’s skin is different, and some people might be allergic to certain ingredients.
Wherever possible please test products out on yourself before purchasing.
Nothing on my social channels shall be interpreted as providing dermatological, medical or other such advice, and it is always best to seek the advice of a suitable professional should you have any such concerns.
I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me, or occasionally sent over by PRs when I have specifically asked for that product. (This saves me spending a fortune every month!)
I do not accept payments to make any of the videos on this channel, so to make it easy for you ladies, where appropriate, I will embed links so that you can have seamless ways to purchase. (As I know that some of you require instant gratification).

Any suggestions made are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, condition or symptom. If you have any personal concerns please seek the advice of a healthcare practitioner.
All the products featured on my social media channels I have purchased myself, or on occasion, have been sent to me by PR when called in.
