THINK PINK

Finding the right pink for you

Style | How to wear...

Often we overthink the colour pink and immediately categorise it as either suiting us or not... In my eyes, everyone suits pink, it is just about finding the right shade for you and the correct tone.

You might think that because you have blonde hair and blue eyes, pink gives you too much of a ‘barbie’ moment or you might think that it clashes with your hair…. That is where we can play with the power of accessories and makeup to make that pink pop…

ALISON

'HIGHLIGHTER HUES'

Alison has piercing blue eyes and great hair, however is put off the idea of strong pinks because of the ‘barbie moment’ fear… or dare we say ‘barbie granny’…

It is crucial to make sure that the sort of pink Alison wears isn’t strong or block, it needs diffusing with a slightly softer colour and shape to make it work… The orangey, pink duality of this off the shoulder dress reminds me of the fruit salad sweets I used to eat when I was younger, it is perfect teamed with a necklace to give it that evening holiday look…

JULIA

'BEST OF BLUSH'

With Julia we had a best of blush moment and decided to celebrate the often avoided blush pink… For many blush pink is considered a colour that will wash you out and again can fall into the ‘granny’ category.

To freshen this up for Julia, we chose apricot raffia earrings that took the look from traditional to modern. Julia is petite so this dress, pulled in at the waist by a contrasting pink belt compliments the warmth of her hair which for me, falls into the strawberry blonde category…

NARINDER

'FULL ON FUSCHIA'

Narinder is beautiful in this full on fuchsia look, channelling señorita vibes. The top reminds me of a house in France, with beautiful floral wallpaper covering the walls…both Holly and I are in love with the print…We decided not to go match-y, match-y with the earrings and instead chose these neon hoops which take the outfit into more striking territory…

The shoes pull that quirkiness right down to the bottom of the outfit and add even more depth of tone.
