Today ChaCha and I recorded a Facebook Live with the wonderful Brides Magazine where we did a makeover on lovely Mother-of-the-Bride, Sylviana!
Being Mother-of-the-Bride is one of the most important and special roles of your life… So in order to feel your best on the Big Day it’s crucial that you take care of your skin and use makeup that enhances your natural features.
Exfoliation is key, you need to create a smooth base to allow for subsequent products to penetrate through easier. Microneedling is also a great idea the night before the wedding to prep your skin for products the next morning.
Infusing your skin with hydrating ingredients helps to create a plump and healthy-looking base, ready for makeup.
SKINCARE
Dr Sebagh Exfoliating Mask - £59
WHO:
Dr Jean-Louis started his career as a facial plastic surgeon in London and Paris and launched his range of products focusing on transformative skincare.
WHY I LOVE IT:
I love this product for prepping skin for makeup, it contains Azelaic and lactic acid which remove all dead skin cells and leaves a smooth base.
Nannette de Gaspé Restorative Techstile Face Mask - £85
WHO:
Nannette de Gaspé started her face mask line in 2016 after discovering a proprietary anti-aging technology that worked with light touch.
WHY I LOVE IT:
This 3-time usage mask is great for perking up the skin before makeup. The mask utilises Japanese ‘techstile’ technology, a waterless mask infused with ingredients which are embedded into the fibres and are activated by massaging it into the skin. It leaves a dewy finish which looks beautiful underneath makeup and has a blurring quality that works to diminish lines.
Méthode Jeanne Piaubert Stimuloval Roller Toning Massage - £30
WHO:
A French brand founded in 1928, Jeanne Piaubert created a specific technique for the application of her products involving stimulating the blood to eliminate toxins.
WHY I LOVE IT:
I use this in the mornings and find that it rejuvenates and stimulates my skin. It helps my skin to look plump, hydrated and penetrates products into the skin better, making the ingredients work quicker.
111Skin Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask - £20
WHO:
Founded by cosmetic surgeon Dr Yannis Alexandrides, 111Skin’s treatments promote healing and combat signs of ageing.
WHY I LOVE IT:
This mask uses hydrogel technology and rose Damascus extract to provide a healthy glow and hydration. This does help to reduce fine lines, use with an exfoliator to really amp up the ingredients.
Beauty Bioscience: GloPRO Regeneration Tool - £199
WHO:
Founded by father & daughter Dr Terry James and Jamie O’Banion, Beauty Bioscience create products and tools using cutting edge technology. The GloPRO is their best-selling product.
WHY I LOVE IT:
With microneedling I would start with a 0.2mm needle, this is enough to penetrate the skin, whilst not being to harsh on the surface. I love microneedling because I feel that it allows product to integrate into the skin faster and more effectively.
