the perfect burst of refreshment

Skincare

Today we’re talking the benefits of a mist. To some they might be a load of cool air in an aerosol can, but to me they are an integral part of my skincare routine. If I’ve done a great mask, I’ll end it with a mist for that lovely finish. If I’ve done an acid, I’ll use a mist afterwards to just bring my skin back down. If I’m outside running around in the garden and I want to feel refreshed, I put a bit of mist on. It refreshes the face and comes now in so many different types of formulas.

So let’s talk about my Fabulous Four mists that I’m loving at the moment. The first is Rose Hydrate Soothing Facial Mist (£9) by Super Facialist. Created by Úna Brennan, it has lots of minerals inside including rose, aloe vera juice, rosehip extract, and smells beautiful (think gorgeous English garden).

Next up is Toleriane Ultra 8 Face Moisturiser Mist Sensitive Skin (£19.50) by La Roche Posay.
Great for those who suffer with eczema or rosacea, it contains allantoin to soothe and condition the skin, and carnosine to function as a gentle antioxidant alongside a few amino-acids. Better yet, there’s zero fragrance to avoid upsetting the skin.

My high purchase is Hydrating Accelerator (£35) by Josh Rosebrook. The main ingredients include marula oil full of antioxidants and fatty acids, as well as buckthorn oil for Vitamin C, B and E. I often spray this when using my machine tools and genuinely feel a sense of hydration.

Last but not least is the highest, Molecular Saviour Probiotics Repair Mist (£60) by Allies of Skin. To call this product a mist feels like I am doing it a disservice due to its incredible content of ingredients. These include lactobacillus ferment, a brilliant probiotic, and colloidal silver, an effective antibacterial ingredient brilliant for upset skin.

So ladies and boys, consider a mist in your lives and benefit from an instant sense of refreshment...
