Today at This Morning I discussed Fashion for Every Age.
Once over the age of 50 or 60, we become more conscious of the quality of fabrics when we shop for new pieces for our wardrobes. Not only fabrics, but also styles can really make a difference in how a piece sits on the body. Wearing more of a structured piece can bring back shoulders that we feel may have been lost. Wearing straight long line trousers can make the legs appear slimmer and longer.
I’m never afraid of wearing bright colours. If you are wearing two different bright colours together, by adding in accessories in the same colour palette you can bring the whole look together. Bright colours can illuminate the face just as sequin pieces do.
Wearing floor length trousers can hide away any swollen anckles and a crew neck layered with a decorative necklace is very flattering to fame the frace.
Another trick I love is to wear pointed shoes under floor length trousers. It can give the illusion of wearing high pointed court shoes when in fact you are wearing confortable low heels or flat shoes.
