Today, our fabulous Pro Makeup Artist Lenny, who looks after all things retail at our New York base in John Barrett’s salon, treats us to not one... not two... but three quick and easy tutorials with the beautiful Aliana. He shows us how to achieve a perfect complexion, a perfect glow, and finally help you feel comfortable using just one product to create an easy cheek-eye-lip look. Lenny is a star...
Lenny’s secret for an even complexion is his BFF Skin Perfector that he uses here in Medium. Three pumps and circular motions starting at the centre of the face is all you need for the microspheres to start matching your skin tone, whilst the light-reflecting porcelain flower extract boosts radiance. Not only that, but the unique formula tones and protects the skin with SPF30. As the colour blends seamlessly into Aliana's skin and her natural glow begins to beam through, it’s as if BFF performed nothing short of a one minute makeup magic trick.
Lenny then uses BFF Eye, our serum-come-concealer, in Reda. Packed with hyaluronic acid to hydrate and soothe the eyes, and peptide activator to depuff and reduce redness, our BFF Eye conceals while giving care. Together with our BFF Skin Perfector, they make for the perfect glow-and-go pairing. Lenny starts in the corners of her eye with his fingertips, and smooths the lightweight serum under the eye before blending it outwards whilst pressing it onto the skin. Say goodbye to discolouration and dark circles - the vitamin C-rich formula brightens and tightens the under-eye after repeated use.
Lenny then chooses Just a Touch in Liv, our 2-in-1 Foundation and Concealer, to colour correct using a little more coverage. He applies the product to create a natural veil of colour across Aliana's complexion to achieve complete evenness. The beauty of this product is its ability to cover imperfections without concealing your complexion, so Aliana is able to wear a light layer without covering her gorgeous freckles.
Miracle Blur completes the look to fill in fine lines and enlarged pores, and Lenny advises on applying it as the final step to ensure it doesn’t roll underneath your foundation.
Brows frame the face, and Lenny addresses this brilliantly by filling in Aliana’s brows with the EYE2EYE shade Faith using an angled liner brush and Spoolie. Fluffing the hairs upwards, he feathers Faith onto the brow whilst shaping as he goes. The Spoolie works perfectly for brushing the product in evenly.
Anna Lip Treat is then swiped over the lips to hydrate and applied to the brows to set the product in place. Lenny tells us that he also applies Anna to his cuticles to keep his hands camera-ready… you heard it here first ladies! Finally, Lenny showcases the versatility of our Lip2Cheek products and uses Freddie, one of the products in Aliana’s Match2Me, to enhance her features and celebrate the colour of her skin, hair and eyes. Lenny works the terracotta shade onto the centre of her cheeks and works it out to place a natural pop of colour, as well as flushing her lips with the shade too. To complete the look, Lenny pats it onto the crease of her eye to create a natural synergy.
So there we have it! Your perfect base, your guide to the perfect glow, and your one-product look in a few quick, easy steps all the way from the Big Apple, with love.
