A smoky eye is something that many of us shy away from. The blending, the lining, the smudging... it can seem a bit overwhelming. However, once I designed my beautiful EYE2EYE shades and created a formula that had the ease of a cream, I found that creating a dramatic eye couldn't be easier.
Today one of our fabulous makeup artists Sasha experiments with her T-Kit and uses our gorgeous Design and Brand Strategist Sam to showcase how to achieve the perfect smoky eye in a few easy steps.
Sasha chooses EYE2EYE in Chalice for Sam's base, and blends it all over the eyelid with the T-Kit’s Shade brush. She also applies a light layer under the lash line to define the eye shape. Next, she dips the T-Kit’s Line brush in our beautiful aubergine EYE2EYE shade, Strength, and applies it to the top of the lash line. Cue the key to the smoky effect: Sasha blends Strength upwards to create metallic drama.
Finally, to make the shades really pop, Sasha takes THE RIGHT LIGHT highlighter in Starlight and uses the Shade brush to apply it to the corners of Sam's eyes and below her brows for a little extra glitter definition.
For an elevated day-to-night smoky effect, Sasha suggests a sweep of EYE2EYE in Universe on the waterline and lash line for a sultry edge before blending to keep it soft.
A heavy, intense eye invites a slightly more subtle lip and cheek, so a wash of of LIP GLOW in Lyla is perfect.
And there we have it; a foolproof guide to achieving the perfect smoky eye. And remember to not worry about precision – the more you blend, the smokier it will be...
