natural-looking makeup made easy

Make up | Fresh faced looks

Today I am focusing on simple makeup, using all the tips and tricks I've learnt over time to make my skin look naturally glowy. I personally love a dewy look because it makes the skin look fresh and ageless.

Beginning with Just A Touch, I have to stress that this product is only ever needed for those bits that you think are in need of covering up or evening out. So for me, I needed to cover my chin area as I recently had some microneedling that caused some redness. What is also so great about Just A Touch is that it gives the appearance of skin that is innately radiant even if you find that yours isn’t particularly glowy on its own.

I mix a little Golden Glow in Soala with Cheekbones in Kate to give me my perfect neutral contour shade. The bronze from Soala combined with the cool taupe of Kate lifts my cheekbone so easily without any extended harsh contour lines on my cheeks. By applying the product just that little bit higher than usual, my face is suddenly pulled upwards without looking tight and unnatural. So simple but it makes all the difference...

I like to have makeup that enhances and opens up the eye rather than something too exaggerated. Eye2Eye in Desire is the best shade for a smoky look that isn’t too pronounced. I find that doing a darker eyeshadow line under the lashes brings the top and bottom of the eye makeup together so the colour of your eyes pop all the more. A tiny bit of Soala in the crease controls the shimmer of the eyelid for a softer blended look that is muted rather than too vibrant.

To ensure that the whole palette shares a tone, I use my blusher to complement my eyeshadow. Lip Love in Sacha as a blush is good for definition which you can sometimes lose with a bronzer. So that each part of my face looks like it’s in union, I then go back and use the blush over my eyelids.

The result feels easy and effortless…
