Skincare Q&A

Good morning ladies, today I’m trialling a new dry sheet mask by Trish McEvoy. Whenever I put a face mask on, I always use the heat from my fingertips to work the ingredients into my skin. I then use a roller to make sure my skin is absorbing the product, and it also gives me a good facial massage, which gets the blood rushing around my face and really wakes me up.
In the mornings, I love cleaning my skin properly so that I’m ready for the day ahead and confident that my skin is glowing. If you’re like me and often rush to get out the door in the mornings, I would still recommend taking two minutes to wash your face and cleanse it thoroughly. Your skin will thank you later, ladies…
A lot of women ask me where they should spend their money when it comes to skincare. I’ve tried and tested a lot of products, and truly believe that you can buy a cheaper cleanser and exfoliator, and then spend your money on a good serum. I find it difficult to source an inexpensive retinol, but it’s a staple in my skincare routine. Moisturiser, for me, should go on top as a feel-good factor for your skin, but it’s important to do the rest of your skincare routine before. The most vital step in my skincare routine is applying SPF, so I’d recommend investing in a good one.
When it comes to budget skincare, there are a few brands that I always rely on such as Garden of Wisdom, The Ordinary and Timeless. I particularly love the Timeless C+E Ferulic, priced at £24.99.
Another tip I’ve learnt over the years is to put whatever I’ve used on my face, on to my neck. Apart from the Emma Hardie neck treatment cream which is fantastic, I always put face products on my neck to keep the skin looking young and soft. And don’t forget your neck exercises ladies… A E I O U.
