Your See The Light FAQs
What is the difference between See The Light SPF 50+ Moisturiser and BFF SPF 30 Cream?
There’s room for both products in your routine…
BFF SPF 30 Cream is our glow-boosting skin perfector – once applied it provides a subtle, tinted glow and is the perfect, luminous base for the rest of your makeup routine (with the added benefit of SPF 30 protection).
See The Light SPF 50+ Moisturiser provides a higher level of broad-spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays (SPF 50+, PA ++++) than BFF SPF 30 Cream, and is the final step of your skincare routine. It’s enriched with skincare ingredients that help to hydrate and restore the skin's natural defences – once applied it absorbs instantly and leaves no trace.
Why do I need to wear SPF even when it’s cloudy?
UVA rays, which are responsible for 90% of visible skin ageing, are present all year round and can penetrate through clouds and even glass. If you only wear sunscreen when the sun is shining, you’ll see fine lines appearing faster than you can say ‘regret’.
What does the PA++++ stand for?
Every + on your product represents how much protection it offers from UVA rays – this can range from PA+ (some UVA protection) to PA++++ (extremely high UVA protection). See The Light SPF 50+ Moisturiser is formulated with advanced UVA filters and provides PA++++, one of the highest possible levels of protection to help prevent premature lines, pigmentation and loss of elasticity
How do pollution and weather damage your skin?
Sunshine, extreme weather and pollution generate free radicals, which damage healthy skin cells. Antioxidants, like the white tea extract in See The Light, work as a shield, protecting your skin from the elements.
How should I layer SPF moisturiser with my makeup?
SPF is always the last step in your skincare routine. Take a moment for it to fully absorb into your skin before moving on to makeup.
Do I just need to apply this once a day?
No sunscreen is ever one and done. If you’re out and about in the sun then we would recommend reapplying See The Light regularly for maximum protection.
Do you know why SPF is so important? Let’s learn our ABCs…
A is for ageing
95% of the UV rays that reach us are UVA rays and these are the main culprits for premature ageing because they travel deeper into the skin. They can penetrate through clouds and windows and are consistent all year round, whatever the season, whether you’re lounging in the sun or sheltering from the rain.
To counteract this damage, our advanced UVA PA++++ filters provide one of the highest possible levels of protection to help prevent premature lines, pigmentation and loss of elasticity.
B is for burning
UVB rays are responsible for skin burning and are at their peak during the summer months and during the hottest hours of the day. Burning doesn’t have to mean redness, it can also present itself as dehydration and damage of the skin long-term. Our next-generation UVB filters are more resistant to light, so they do a better job of protecting your skin from direct sun damage.

C is for climate
As well as UV rays, our skin is at the mercy of the climate, like weather and pollution. From windy afternoon strolls to sweltering city commutes, the elements impact how well your skin can function and defend itself, making it even more prone to visible damage. Our formula is infused with antioxidants from white tea leaf to help restore your skin’s natural first line of defence. Raspberry leaf extract hydrates and moisturises so your skin is better able to adapt to whatever the weather may throw its way.
D is for damage
A+B+C = Damage. This damage will present as fine lines, pigmentation, dryness, sunburn and accelerated ageing. When faced with this onslaught, your skin is busy trying to repair the damage so it isn’t able to defend itself and the damage cycle continues.
See The Light Moisturiser SPF 50+ is your skin’s guardian against the ABCs, helping to keep damage at bay.
