Microneedling, Body Toning & The Ordinary
Today’s Lazy Sunday skincare routine consisted of a lot of exfoliating, microneedling and some body care. Below are the products I used.
Ameliorate Transforming Body Lotion - £22.50
WHO:
Ameliorate’s creator Annette launched the first UK dermatological skincare brand proven to fight keratosis pilaris (‘Chicken skin’) and prevent ingrown hairs.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Lactic acid, a natural alpha hydroxyl acid encourages the skin’s natural exfoliation process, gently removing surface dead skin and debris whilst stimulating the renewal of healthy cells.
WHY I LOVE IT:
I really like this product all over the body as it’s great for dry, creepy skin. It’s lightweight so it sinks into the skin quickly whilst still delivering intense hydration.
RMK Moist Skintuner Treatment - £32
WHO:
Established in 1996, an American cosmetics brand bought to life in Japanese laboratories.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
A fast absorbing moisturiser infused with a blend of rice bran extracts and marine collagen to promote the elasticity and restore smooth skin.
WHY I LOVE IT:
This has a subtle rose scent which I like. It’s an essence, so a really lightweight serum, almost like water in texture, giving a toning benefit to the skin.
Santa Maria Novella Face Relaxing Water - £24
WHO:
Santa Maria Novella is one of the oldest pharmacies in the world founded by Dominican friars in Florence in the 1200’s.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Made from witch-hazel and chamomile, both anti-oxidants and soothing plant extracts to help improve the appearance of skin
Swiss Clinic Skin Roller 0.2/0.5mm - £79
WHO:
A Swiss company worked with leading scientists worldwide to create high end beauty products with active ingredients
WHY I LOVE IT:
The skin roller creates tiny micro-channels promoting the skin to create more collagen therefore stimulating new skin cells.
WHO:
Micro needle therapy system, an innovative at-home skin needling device created by an American based company.
WHY I LOVE IT:
I love this roller as it improves the penetration of active ingredients and products for healthier looking skin.
Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence - £68
WHO:
Developed in Vermont, Harper researched the collection together with a team of chemists and herbalists who discovered and combined he most potent ingredients Worldwide.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
I love this product as it contains hyaluronic acid and Aloe Barbadensis leaf juice, a key ingredient which soothes the appearance of redness in the skin.
Una Brennan Super Facialist Rose Hydrate Facial Scrub £8.99
WHO:
Úna Brennan, an Irish Facialist specialising in skincare, firstly at home in Ireland and now here in the the UK. She is known for her Neroli range and her Rose range.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
White Willow extract, known to enhance skin cell turnover, Vitamin E and Urea with soothing Marshmallow extract. It hydrates, plumps and replenishes the skin.
Trilogy Hydrating Mist Toner - £18.50
WHO:
Launched in 2002 by two New Zealand sisters Sarah Gibbs and Catherine de Groot, who have a passion for creating natural skincare
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Geranium and Rose flower, two important oils used by Egyptians for promoting beautiful skin, treat acne and reducing inflammation.
The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution - £6.30
WHO:
This peeling solution is part of a brand called DECIEM, founded in 2013 by the entrepreneur Brandon Truaxe.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
This is a good 10 min peel contains aha acids, glycolic and beta-hydroxy acids (salicylic). Reduce inflammation. this is not suitable for sensitive skins post needling.
Dr Julia Hunter Skin Therapy Maximal Strength Peel - £127
WHO:
I have been using Julia hunter’s range for around a year now. She believes in peeling and exfoliation to resurface the skin, which results in a vastly improved skin texture. I use Julia Hunter's evening routine religiously, and feel it is the first range to have a long-term impact on my skin texture.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
A Chirally correct acid peel containing L-Lactic Acid, hydrating, exfoliating, and further helping reduce wrinkles and pigmentation.

WHO:
A New York City cosmetic dermatologist inspired to create products that would deliver the same results at home
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Ferulic Acid helps to fight free radical oxidation and Retinol helps to smooth the appearance of wrinkles and lines whilst increasing the moisture and hydration
