Listening to 54-year-old Michelle Griffith Robinson speak about her life is unbelievably inspiring. “I'm an Olympian, a life coach, a motivational speaker and I work for four charities,” she tells Trinny London. She’s also a mum of three. A jam-packed diary by anyone’s standards, but somehow Michelle makes it look effortless.

“My determination comes from my mum,” Michelle explains. “My mum's fiercely determined. She's fiercely positive. And even on those days when you fall down hard, I can hear my mum saying, "That's okay, accept that, acknowledge that's happened to you, but what are you going to do about it?".

There have been many times in Michelle’s life when she’s had to dig deep and find that steely determination. As a teen she faced ridicule from classmates who told her ‘you're not making the Olympics, Michelle, don't be ridiculous’, she carried on competing through a potentially career-ending Achilles tendon injury and walked away from abusive relationships. “I have proved people wrong,” Michelle says proudly.

“Now, when I look in the mirror today, the woman I see looking back is a woman that's been vulnerable, a woman that's stood up for her rights, a woman that's walked away from bad situations, but I now see a confident woman that knows exactly who she is. And definitely isn't afraid to get what she wants.”

Team GB vests, a happy home life and incredible coaching clients aside (Michelle has trained Mel B of Spice Girls fame), what Michelle wants is skincare that works as hard as she does. Plump Up, our peptide⁺ HA serum, has become a staple in her routine. “I like a dewy effect and I like my face to look hydrated, this has been fantastic. My skin loves it. And I find that sometimes with the weather, when I put this on, it just wakes me up, makes me feel alive.”

To perfect her glow, Michelle is committed to BFF All Day Foundation. “I'm in love with the foundation,” she says. “This is what I'm wearing and this is not just for video, this is the truth guys. I absolutely love how it feels on my skin, I like that dewy look. So that yellow tube, that's the one you need to go buy. That’s my golden nugget.”
