For the next month, I’ve committed myself to do a Dry January… for me, this means no shopping in store or online which is so difficult when there are such great sales on and bargains to be had.
However, this is the perfect opportunity for me to shop in my wardrobe: to go through what I already have and determine what is just taking up space.

For this installment, I wanted to show you my extensive shoe collection. I don't know about you, but I have my shoes scattered all about the house, hidden at the bottom of various different cupboards, so it was nice to see my whole range and divide them into categories. From this I determined eight different types of shoe that every woman should have in her wardrobe...

  1. Trainers for working out in
  2. A White Plimsoll
  3. A Stacked Trainer
  4. A Boot to wear with dresses
  5. A Boot to wear with jeans
  6. A Flat Smart Shoe
  7. An Evening Shoe – whether that be a stiletto or a wedge, it's all down to personal preference
  8. A Summer Shoe – I'd recommend a metallic, white or animal print shoe... or all three!

While I am a self-confessed shoe-a-holic and have collected many designer labels over the years, quality definitely trumps quantity for me in terms of comfort, wearability and longevity. You can pick up all eight of these categories from the high street, and I've found some near-identical dupes for you all.
